靴作家・森田圭一氏が手掛ける「こうべくつ家」のブランド、kokochi sun3のタブロイドを制作しました。 「日常を彩る美しい道具」として、リペアを重ねながら長く履き続けることができる森田さんの靴。その設計思想に共感し、リーフレット自体も時の経過を味わいとして楽しめる仕様を目指しました。用紙には、紫外線に反応して色濃く変化する「リグニン」を含んだ紙を選定しています。 履き込むほどに傷や色が記憶として刻まれる革靴のように、この紙もまた、手に取る人の日常の中でゆっくりと「日焼け」し、風合いを深めていきます。作り手の技術が靴の寿命を延ばすように、デザインによって情報の寿命を「愛着」へと転換させる試みです。 - I designed the brand tabloid for kokochi sun3, created by shoemaker Keiichi Morita of Kobe Kutsu-ya. His philosophy treats leather shoes as "beautiful tools for daily life," designed to be repaired and cherished over many years. To mirror this commitment to longevity and the beauty of aging, I selected a specific paper stock containing lignin, which darkens and develops a patina when exposed to ultraviolet light. Just as a pair of shoes accumulates scratches and changes color to become a vessel for the wearer's memories, this tabloid is designed to "sunburn" and evolve over time. By aligning the material's aging process with the shoemaker’s craft, I sought to transform a simple printed item into a lasting object of affection.
