Portierra（ポルティラ）を取材し、その活動の一部を伝える映像を制作しました。Portierraが向き合っているのは、誠実なものづくりと、生態系への問いです。日本では年間60万頭もの鹿が駆除されている現実に対し、独自の環境負荷を極限まで抑えたなめし製法で、命をジビエレザーとして活かす取り組みを続けています。有害物質を使わない製造プロセスは、200年以上の歴史を持つ古民家を改装した工場の中で、丁寧に守られています。 - We visited Portierra and created a video to share a glimpse of their work. Portierra approaches making as an act of responsibility. In Japan, some 600,000 deer are culled each year as so-called pests — a reality shaped by human activity and its disruption of natural ecosystems. In response, Portierra has developed an original tanning process with minimal environmental impact, giving new life to these animals through gibie leather. That same care runs through every part of their work, carried out within a factory that breathes new life into a traditional home with over two hundred years of history.
