Portierra（ポルティラ）を取材し、その活動を伝える映像を制作しました。彼らが向き合っているのは、誠実なものづくりと、生態系への問いです。 日本では年間60万頭もの鹿が駆除されている現実に対し、環境負荷を極限まで抑えた独自のなめし製法で、その命をレザーとして活かす取り組みを続けています。有害物質を用いない製造プロセスは、200年以上の歴史を持つ古民家を改装した工場の中で、今日も丁寧に守られています。 - I produced a film documenting the activities of Portierra, a project dedicated to sincere craftsmanship and ecological responsibility. In response to the reality that 60,000 deer are culled annually in Japan, Portierra utilizes a unique tanning process with minimal environmental impact to transform these lives into "Gibier Leather." Their chemical-free manufacturing process is meticulously preserved within a factory housed in a renovated 200-year-old traditional folk house.
